As an avid online shopper, I enter my information into a lot of sites, safely, but allowing them to send me promotions and upcoming sales. With that, sometimes these sites aren’t always secure and I tend to have my email and/or phone number leaked to scammers. Often, I’ll get texts messages or emails that my order was cancelled, not shipped, or lost in the mail attached with a link. Most of the places I shop from I have the app or an account so I can track and view my orders there, so I know where they are and when they come– never do I recieve a text, so these are obviously scams. I can’t lie though, some texts and emails do look pretty convincing as sometimes I do get tracking updates from USPS on text. It’s really all about using my critical thinking and being careful to not click on the wrong links. Anyone else have problems like these?
